Drenbuterol (DREN) had been gaining in popularity for some time and I thought it was about time for me to gain a personal perspective. I purchased my first box 4 months ago and completed an entire cycle. I had been careful not to read any reviews until after my initial experience. Here’s the good, the bad and the ugly.
When I initially began taking DREN, I have to say it definitely worked just as the box said that it would. My workouts went from an hour at a time to an hour and forty-five minutes to even 2 hours. My muscles became more defined and it seemed that I had lost some excess pounds.
The Good
So how did it work? Was it a magic pill? I don’t think so, I think it gave the extra edge to keep me in the gym. My muscles became more defined simply because I was working out twice as long, adding to my intensity. I lost weight on top of that which probably also helped to show definition in my muscles. As for losing weight, again I was in the gym twice as long. So no it doesn’t provide miracles, what it does do is provide you with a platform to push yourself beyond your normal routine.
The Bad
I follow a strict nutritional and bodybuilding schedule. One day I had taken off to go to the gym and just grabbed an EAS Protein Shake on my way to save time. I had taken my DREN before I had left the house, approximately 20-25 minutes had gone by and I hadn’t opened my shake yet. I began feeling nauseas and ill in general, it continued for the entire day.
I originally had tossed it up to a simple bug, however a few weeks later I had a similar incident with not eating on time and what do you know I had the same reaction. Since I had normally taken DREN with my breakfast I never felt bad it was only the two times I didn’t have food with it. This tells me that DREN is rather strong and that should be a consideration for anyone who is debating on whether to use it or not.
The Ugly
When I came to the end of my 8 weeks and had to cycle off, I really felt it. I couldn’t workout the same, I had lost my momentum. Add to this that I felt severely overtrained, as a result it took me several weeks to feel normal again. Experiencing that first hand, makes me wonder if the reason you have to cycle off and not take DREN more than 8 weeks isn’t due to the possibility of overtraining. I literally felt great each day and hadn’t realized my body was taking a toll and entering the danger zones of overtraining.
